Understand the credit system, pricing, and how to manage your balance.
How Credits Work
SignSecure uses a pay-per-use credit system. You buy credits and spend them when sending envelopes for signing. The cost depends on the signature methods used.
Credit Costs

| Aadhaar eSign (per signer) | 15 credits |
The base envelope cost (1 credit) is charged once for every envelope. Non-Aadhaar signing types (electronic, DSC) cost 10 credits flat per envelope regardless of how many signers use them. Aadhaar eSign costs 15 credits for each signer.
Credits are deducted when signers sign the envelope. If an envelope fails or is cancelled, credits may be refunded.
Buying Credits
- Go to Settings > Buy Credits
- Select a preset amount or enter a custom amount
- Complete payment through the checkout flow

500, 2,000, 5,000, 25,000, or 100,000 credits.
Checking Your Balance
Your credit balance is shown in the top navigation bar. For a detailed breakdown, go to Settings > Credits to see your balance, total used, and transaction history.
Organization Credits
When you're working in an organization workspace, credits come from the organization wallet instead of your personal balance.
- Owners/Admins can view the full organization wallet balance and allocate credits to members.
- Members use the credits allocated to them by the owner. Their balance reflects the remaining allocation.
API Keys and Organization Credits
API keys created while in an organization workspace are permanently bound to that organization. Only organization owners and admins can create these keys. When you use an organization API key:
- Envelopes are created under the organization.
- Credits are deducted from the organization wallet (or from your member allocation).
- The
/credits/balanceendpoint returns organization-specific balance information, including acontextfield set to"organization".
To use personal credits via the API, create an API key while in your personal workspace.
Transaction History
Every credit operation is logged:
- Consume -- credits spent on envelope operations
- Add -- credits purchased
- Refund -- credits returned for cancelled or failed envelopes
View your full transaction history at Settings > Credits.
